(File photo by Jiraporn Kuhakan)The trial of two ethnic Uighur Chinese men accused of bombing the Erawan shrine in Bangkok last year, killing 20 people, was again postponed on Tuesday, after the court again failed to appoint them an interpreter. The court ordered that the Chinese embassy be approached to locate a Uighur to English, or Mandarin to Thai interpreter, as both men hold Chinese passports. Officials postponed the trial in September after the defendants complained that they could not understand their court-appointed interpreter, a woman who spoke Uzbek. The men stand accused of involvement in the bombing of the Erawan shrine on Aug 17 last year.
